During the tour you will visit the most popular and famous
monasteries of the Ladakh region built by different rulers. In
this tour you are reaching the highest motor able road in the
world. Here the landscape assumes fantastic view of the
mountains. Visiting the most charming and beautiful Kulu
valley spread out its charm on either side of the river Beas.
The valley is also famous for its exquisitely woven colorful
hand made shawls. We take you to Dharamshala known as Little
Lhasa in the gorgeous Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh in
North India.
Day 01: Leh
On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our
representative at the airport and transfer to
Hotel. Complete day for rest for the acclimitization
because of high altitude
Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level..
Evening short walk around the Leh bazar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Leh
Full day excursion to visit Thiksey monastery it is quite
interesting to visit the monastery early in the morning to see
praying cermoney and
visit one of the biggest Monastery of Leh “Hemis”. On the way
back visit Shey Palace. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Leh
Morning half day
tour of Spituk and Phyang Monastery. Afternoon
by foot to Kings Palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa, and
Shankar Gompa. Overnight
at Hotel.
Day 04 : Leh – Alchi – Leh
(144 Kms)
Full day excursion to Basgo fort and
Alchi monastery which is the only monastery in the
Ladakh on flat ground. Largest and most famous of all of the
temples. In the evening return back to Leh. Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 05 : Leh – Sarchu
(250 Kms)
Fullday drive to
Sarchu via
Upshi and
we have to
cross second highest
motorable
pass
in world
(Tanglangla Pass 5350 Mtrs.) Enjoy the nature beauty of
the mountains continue drive through Moreplans
there are chance to see tiny colonies of Marmots, Yaks
& Herbs. At Pang we stop for lunch continue drive to Lachungla
pass 5065 Mtrs rugged in the middle of the mountains. Arrive
Sarchu tonight our camp will be at 4200 Mtrs. and it will be
the coldest night during the whole tour. Overnight in
Tents.
Day 06 : Sarchu - Jispa
(116 Kms)
Sarchu
is the border line between Jammu n Kashmir and Himachal
Pradesh after 20 Kms drive we enter into Himachal
Pradesh
and
we reach Baralachala pass 4883 Mtrs. here on the top
there is a lake known as Surajtal and we will meet first
village at Darcha after Rumtze. One may visit to Dalai Lama
monastery which has been recently built during the Kalachakra
Programme. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 : Jispa – Manali
(140 Kms)
After short drive we reach Keylong the head district in this
area and we will stop here for one hour to visit around the
local Bazar and continue drive to Manali finally we reach
Khoksar where we stop for passport checking and lunch.
Continue ascending towards Rohtang pass 3978 Mtrs.
and we dip into Manali region. Another 51 Kms drive
will take us to Manali. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08 : Manali
Halt at Manali for levish display
and visit 400
years old Pagoda Temple of Hadimba Devi
and old Manali to see the Manu temple. Afternoon one
can visit to the Vaishisht hot sulper spring bath. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 09 : Manali – Dharamshala
(220 Kms)
Leave Manali and drive to Dharamshala on the way visit
Triloknath Temple. Finally reach Dharamshala in the evening
which has
risen to the
International fame as”THE LITTLE LHASA IN INDIA” Since from
1960 when it became a temporary headquarter of
His Holiness the Dalai Lama
visit the
monastery. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10 : Dharamshala – Amritsar
Leave in the morning and drive to Amritsar
within six hours drive we reach Amritsar. In the
afternoon visit the Golden temple and to the Wagha border to
see the sunset flag down ceremoney. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11 : Amritsar – Delhi
In the morning visit the local market of Amritsar. In the
afternoon transfer to the railway station to connect onwards
train/Coach and arrive Delhi in the evening
